Athena is a seven-year-old, forty-five-pound, Corgi and Carolina Dog mix. She is good with mature kids ten and over, she is good with other submissive dogs, and she is good with cats. This is a dog you can take anywhere: sociable, smart, loves car rides, enjoys the dog park and playing with everyone, especially a game of fetch! Athena still has the personality of a puppy. She can be initially shy but once she warms up, she’s a completely different dog. Athena knows more than fifty commands. She is extremely intelligent, she's house and leash trained! Athena had a cat best friend at one time but more recently was attacked by a cat, so she is wary. She won't chase cats, she's just cautious. Her foster writes: "Athena is very happy and joyful when she feels safe and cared for. She would love to be your one and only since she is jealous about sharing you. She is super smart, knows dozens of commands, is not used to being leashed but does great on no-pull harness. She has been through a lot and would probably do best right in a very calm home as an only dog or with an easy-going submissive dog playmate. "Athena is on year-round Heart Worm prevention.
