Woody is a three-year-old, Corgi Chihuahua mix, weighing eleven pounds. Woody is good with other dogs, and good with mature kids ten years and over. Playful happy Woody, a short charming little guy, is enthusiastic and a cuddler once he attaches to you. Woody has been through trauma so he is cautious around strangers and will bark or growl (not bite) until he gets to know you; sudden movements scare him, so he needs a calm, mature home that has the patience to understand him. No small kids, mature kids ten and older should be fine. Another dog in the home will be a bonus since other dogs give Woody confidence. Woody's foster writes “Once he is settled in Woody is a love bug but you need to allow him the time to get know and trust you.” Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls, no emails. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
