Waylon is a very submissive sweet boy who lost his home because he chases chickens. Waylon loves people and he's great with other dogs. Waylon is very well-behaved and gentle, but he was clearly abused. Loud noises frighten him. Because of this Waylon is not so keen on the outdoors. Waylon's foster writes: "Waylon has come a long way but, he is still frightened of everything outdoors. He goes outside willingly and knows what he is supposed to do, but all it takes is something like a car door shutting to make him bolt into the house. It’s sad to see how traumatized and fearful he can be when he's outdoors. Waylon needs someone who loves and appreciates the love, loyalty, good nature and coziness that are hound traits, and will display only patience and understanding towards Waylon. Waylon is healthy, heartworm negative, and if you love the loyalty of a hound Waylon is your boy! Apply on CrisisDogsNC.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet reference and virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer fenced yard, but this is not required for all our dogs.
