Wali is a twelve pound, twelve-year-old, Shih Tzu. He is good with other dogs, doesn't care for cats, and doesn't care for kids at his mature age. This adorable mop of a dog loves taking easy strolls and napping on a comfy bed. He doesn't like being picked up but loves to snuggle. Wali doesn't mind sleeping in his crate at night and will also happily sleep in his bed in your bedroom. This senior is fine with other dogs but mostly keeps to himself. He is very quiet and barks only if he is startled so his hearing might be diminished. His foster writes, " Wali is very a sweet and laid-back older gentleman. When it comes to food, he can be a little picky and will choose not to eat if he doesn't like what you are offering. Wali would do best in a quiet home. He is initially shy but warms up and once he likes you he will happily follow you around. " Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls, no emails. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed assessments are based on visual appearances.
