A Yorkie who needs a patient experienced adopter. Violet, 1-2 years, 8lbs, Yorkshire Terrier , absolutely no kids, no cats dogs ok An adorable pup who experienced abuse, Violet is afraid of just about everyone at first meeting and will need an experienced and patient small dog adopter. She is not for a first time dog owner. Her foster writes, “Violet is initially scared of people and very shy. It will take her awhile to warm up to you and she will growl and show her teeth in order to scare you away. Once she trusts you, she shows her sweet side and when she is bonded to you she will want to be wherever you are ….but getting there takes time and patience.” This little gal is very active. She enjoys running and jumping, and would benefit from an active adopter who will take her on walks and even shopping. Just do not let strangers let her! Violet loves car rides where she enjoys listening to upbeat music. She could benefit from obedience classes that will bolster her confidence. She responds very well to positive reinforcement and is a fast learner. Violet could also be a good candidate for agility since she is very fast and loves to jump hurtles. This is not an apartment dog since she will bark, especially when you leave the house. Violet would do best with another dog at home who is preferably submissive; large playful dogs overwhelm her. No cats since she is prey driven. No kids, she is terrified of children. Violet definitely needs a fenced yard that is secure and also walks to dispel her energy. She has completely healed from a broken pelvis and is ready to have fun in a forever home. Violet is healthy and fully housetrained.
