I'm staying with the rescue furever!

Toto’s story is one of strength, resilience, and heart. After being abandoned and struck by a car, Toto arrived at Crisis Dogs NC in very rough condition. He was paralyzed and severely injured, but this little fighter has made incredible progress. He has regained some mobility, can climb stairs, and enjoys spending time exploring the yard at his own pace.

Toto does have ongoing physical challenges and wears diapers due to incontinence, but none of that dims his spirit. He is affectionate, content, and happiest when he is close to his person. His foster lovingly describes him as a total lovebug. Toto can be selective with other dogs and does best in a calm, understanding environment.

Because of his medical needs, mobility limitations, and the strong sense of security he has developed, Toto is part of our Hospice and Haven program. Remaining with his foster family allows his physical needs to be fully accommodated while ensuring consistent medical care and emotional stability. After everything he has endured, it would not be fair to move Toto from the home where he finally feels safe, supported, and loved.

Toto is exactly where he needs to be, surrounded by patience, compassion, and the care he desperately deserves.
