A super loving gorgeous yellow lab x beagle, Teddy is losing his home because he suddenly is not getting along with one of the resident dogs with whom he had been friends; He is fine with the owner’s other dog; the issue is generally food . A combination of loyalty and protectiveness Teddy is very loving to all people and good with kids over 12 ; no young kids, because he can show nippy herding behavior. Teddy is well mannered in the house , food- motivated and very smart, and learns fast . He has not had a lot of training because his owner has progressive MS and little energy, so we highly recommend training especially for leash walking, Teddy will nudge you with his nose when he wants your attention. His owner writes, “Teddy is goofy and loves for you to chase him to try to get the toy away from him. He loves balls, anything that crinkles, and his favorite toy is the kong rubber tug of war toy (has 2 handles). He can destroy a squeak toy in under 5 minutes and pulls all the stuffing out so I don’t recommend those.” Teddy would be good with dog savvy cats who don’t run away in fear and we suggest him as your only dog. He’s ideal home would be someone who works from home because he likes to be close. His owner says, “Teddy likes to be outside and go for walks so an active household would be great for him. He’s also content to go in the backyard and hang out until he wants to be back with his people. He would need proper introduction to a dog friend who is very low-key and lets Teddy be the boss. “
