Smokey is a 3 year old, 20 lb. Terrier mix.
Smokey and her brother, Bandit came to the rescue after living outside and unsocialized for their whole lives. They are learning all new things since being in rescue and are such a joy to watch as they both blossom into playful, happy pups! Smokey is a little timid with new people but warms up and just loves her humans. She would do best in an adult-only household or one with teenage kids who understand that she can be a little timid at times. Smokey is potty trained and crate trained and does well when left in a crate alongside Bandit if you have to leave the house. Smokey's favorite activity in the whole wide world is to play in her fenced in yard! She has tons of energy and is a pro at playing chase. She enjoys playing with other dogs, but no one can hold a candle to her brother at the end of the day! Since Smokey is still working on learning how to use a leash, a fenced in yard where she can safely play with Bandit would be ideal in her forever home. If you are ready for a playful, fun, dynamic duo, Smokey and Bandit are the pups for you!
** Smokey is heartworm positive and treatment will be paid for and arranged by CrisisDogsNC. Smokey can be adopted prior to completing HW treatment and the rescue will continue to pay for an arrange her treatment**
