Skippy is a 4 month old, 7 lb Dachshund mix.
Skippy came to the rescue with his brother Salty from a rough situation where he was left outside and experienced no human touch for the first several months of his life. He is now safe and doing well in his loving foster home. He is learning all the exciting things about being a puppy and what a safe and happy home feels like thanks to his foster mom. This sweet boy loves other dogs and gravitates towards them. He loves playing outside in his yard with his doggie buddies and is very easy going in nature. Because he still has lots to learn about trusting humans and socialization, he will need a patient family who can work with him on training and confidence. He's learning about getting pets and receiving affection now and will just take time to build trust. He needs a fenced or secure yard since he is still a flight risk and learning to trust. If you have a big heart and looking for a diamond in the rough, Skippy may be the boy for you!
