Shaggy is 2 years old and 21 pounds, he is a Shih Tzu mix.
Playful and good natured Shaggy was abandoned at a local dog dumping area. He was completely matted, severely neglected. When he first came into foster he was hesitant and scared but now he's come into his own. A sweet lap dog who likes to be near his person. Shaggy is house trained, crated trained, well mannered in the house. He is heartworm positive but since he is young we will begin a "slow kill" heartworm treatment: an effective simple program of doxycycline and heartguard that does not require change in behavior. Then a retest in 6 months. His foster writes, "He is great with kids and adults, very loving and super friendly!"
