I've found my furever family!

We're happy to tell you that Sara has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Sara is a 5-6 year old Chiweenie mix weighing about 11 pounds.

Sara has a scar around her neck from an embedded collar and serves as a visible reminder of her difficult start in life and her resilience. Her foster writes “Every morning she wakes up wiggling from head to tail in joy that she is warm and safe.” Took her awhile to get over her fear of men but has learned to trust again. If you move your foot quickly in her direction she still filches and yelps. No idea what this poor girl has gone through. Sara is mostly housetrained and her barking has subsided but would thrive in a home rather then an apartment. Sara loves to go for walks and does well on a leash especially with her foster siblings. It would be best for Sara to have someone that is home often. She is fine by herself or with a companion but loves to be around her people. Her favorite thing in the world is belly rubs, well that and snuggling under the blanket. She would do well older children who understand and respect her fears and will help Sara feel secure in her environment
