I've found my furever family!

We're happy to tell you that Rhett has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Foster or Adopt! We are guessing at his breed, handsome, 12-pound, Rhett was clearly traumatized and is still very scared. He is great with dogs and he has a live-in dog buddy. Rhett is very timid, gentle, and submissive, and needs a patient kind calm home where he can learn to feel safe. He is especially terrified of thunderstorms. We advise no kids. We don't know about cats but likely he is fine. He is not at all aggressive. A fenced yard is preferred since the leash still scares him. You can really make a difference in this dog's life. Apply on CrisisDogsNC.org. Excellent vet reference and virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard but this is not required for all our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
