Pickles is a one-year-old, thirty-five-pound, Labrador Retriever and Border Collie mix. She is good with dogs, mature kids ten and over, and not good with cats. A submissive timid dog who was dumped along with her puppies. Pickles is a sweet young dog that warms up to people quickly. She needs someone who will go slow since she clearly experienced abuse and neglect and needs time to trust that she will be safe. She has No aggression towards dogs or people whatsoever. Pickles loves chewy toys and running outside and playing with her puppies. She is too interested in cats and chases them, so we advise a cat-free home. Also, no small kids since they will scare her. This dog who had puppies two months ago needs a gentle patient home. We are treating Pickles for heartworm and since she is young it will be an easy recovery. She is housetrained and fine in the crate. The best home would be calm and patient with dog company and someone who would be at home to love on her and reassure her! Apply at crisisdogsnc.org.
