Millie is a two-year-old Labrador Retriever and Bull Mastiff Mix, weighing seventy-five pounds. Millie is good with other small dogs or puppies, she is good with cats, and no small children since Millie can get protective with her toys. Mature kids ten and over should be fine. We rescued Millie, who was nearly catatonic in fear, and she has come a long way. This big, beautiful gal is gentle, plays with her foster dog buddies and would be fine with older kids, not small ones who she can knock down simply because of her size. She needs a gentle, quiet home where she can have a routine and feel safe. She loves being inside. Millie is still shy and can be withdrawn around people and she does not like men. A kind, all female household would help her feel secure. Millie is healthy and fully vetted. If you love, big, gentle dogs, this is your pup. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
