Meelo is a sweet 50 lb Beagle mix, approx. eight yrs old.
He was left outdoors in the elements his entire life prior to being surrendered to the shelter and has adjusted well to living indoors in a comfy home. He is happy, energetic and friendly towards people and other dogs. Some favorite activities include: sniffing around the yard, napping on the couch with his canine buddy, enjoying treats and chew toys, but best of all --being close to his person. Meelo is on gabapentin for arthritis for his legs, he is really sensitive on his legs so we advise not to touch them. He is on medication to control seizures and undergoing slow kill heartworm treatment. He has been through a lot and still has some anxiety so needs someone who works from home or is retired since he wants and needs the company! Meelo has great house manners and can be left alone for an reasonable length of time and no longer needs or wants to be in a crate. He is not an apartment dog and a fenced- in yard is needed. He currently lives with another senior but may be fine as a only dog.

Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
