About Mavis’s Breed:
Our best guess is that Mavis is an American Pitbull Terrier and Beagle mixed breed. Pitbull–Beagle mixes often blend the loving loyalty of a Pitbull with the curious, cheerful nature of a Beagle, creating a companion who is affectionate, people‑oriented, and delightfully expressive. They tend to be social, gentle, and eager to be part of family life, with a balanced energy level that enjoys both playtime and relaxed cuddles.
An ideal home for this mix is one that offers consistent companionship, positive training, and moderate daily activity. They thrive with families who appreciate their sweet, sensitive personalities and can provide structure, affection, and opportunities to explore the world at their own pace. With kindness and inclusion, they become incredibly devoted, easygoing members of the household.
What to Love about Mavis:
Can we just say “everything”?
This gentle, three‑legged angel is as quiet as a mouse, sweet as can be, and content with the simple joys of life: a soft couch, a cozy dog bed, and a family to love. Her tripod status doesn’t slow her down one bit — she navigates stairs with ease, enjoys light play, and moves around confidently!
Mavis is completely potty trained, has flawless house manners, and doesn’t need a crate at all. She has zero fear or aggression, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and with her easygoing, submissive nature, she’d likely do wonderfully with cats and respectful children too. After spending years living outside with another dog, she’s now discovering the comforts of indoor life — fluffy blankets, warm beds, and snuggling on the couch with her foster family have quickly become her favorite things!
She’s learning about leash walks and does great, never pulling and happily strolling at a relaxed pace. With her low‑energy, laid‑back personality, she’s the perfect roommate who asks for very little: just love, softness, and a cozy place to rest her head.
Mavis’s Highlights:
Mavis is a calm, loving, incredibly sweet companion who would fit effortlessly into almost any home — even with first‑time dog owners. She’s truly special, and anyone would be lucky to call her family!
