Izzy, a 1.5 year old, mountain curr lab mix weighing about 45 pounds.
Found wandering on a rural dirt road ,covered with scabs and sores, this lovely--what looks to us like a pure Mountain Cur--pup likely gave birth to a litter, was used as a hunting dog and then dumped or got lost. She is gentle, friendly, healthy and is learning about living in a house which includes stairs, sliding glass doors and potty training. Her finder who will keep her until the perfect home is found, writes "Izzy, short for Isabel, came right up to me. She was in bad shape but her wounds are healed now. Izzy is very attentive and loving, very people friendly, loves my small dog but she chases the cats . She is submissive and gentle when she plays. She will chase wildlife so she needs a secure fenced yard. A strong, high energy gal she needs leash training (she gets excited when she sees other dogs and pulls) and a lot of exercise. No small kids she can knock over. Her finder writes, "Izzy is a sweet dog who loves attention. She needs diligent potty training focus, loves to lay next to you and is very puppyish . Very sweet personality. Submissive but always wants to stand up on you." She can be crated at night but does not like a crate during the day, so best a dog experienced adopter who works from home.
