I'm ready for my new family!

I'm Available

Sweet Gully is two years old, fifty-pounds, Black Labrador and Malinois mix. Gully is good with mature kids ten and over, he's good with dogs, and he's scared of cats. This sweet boy has been waiting to be picked at the shelter for ten months now. It's Gully's turn to get picked now!  Since Gully has spent so much time in a kennel, he is unsure with other dogs, he is not aggressive, Gully has been cat and dog tested. Gully was swatted at by a cat, and he got scared and jumped back before walking away. Gully comes off as being unsure, possibly uncomfortable with other dogs. He never attacks but looks unsure of how to engage with them on leash. He does play in play yards separated by a chain link fence with a ton of other dogs and is comfortable in that setting. He would most likely need a slow introduction with another dog. he just needs guidance in interacting and learning how to play. Gully is medium to high energy, he's affectionate and he's smart! He would be a great running or hiking buddy. Gully is a gorgeous sweet natured boy who was found outside of a courthouse by a police officer (who Gully is named after). If you love black labs this boy is for you. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls, no emails. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
