Finn

Finn is a two-year-old, sixty-five-pound, German Shepherd.  Finn is good with other dogs, good with cats, and good with Mature kids ten and over. Finna was kept in a small crate for most of his life and abused so that he is very timid around adults but wants to be close. This gorgeous pure shepherd is slowly learning to trust adults at his temporary foster who rescued him from the cage and reached out to us for help. Finn's Foster writes: “Finn stands at the driveway and wags his tail when people and dogs go by, but he is still very scared of adults. You can see he wants to be close but only recently he allowed me to pet him, and then he gave me a kiss.” It will take a while for Finn to trust. Finn needs an emotional special-needs home who will give him the time he needs and to be patient with Finn. This boy is not an immediate companion but will develop into a loyal buddy over time. He is very smart, and his timidness masks his need for affection. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply to completed applications only, not to calls, not to emails, not to instant or private Facebook messages. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
