Dolly is approximately eleven years old, weighs just under ten pounds and is a Shih Tzu. Dolly has limited to no sight caused by Glaucoma, and there is no pressure in her right eye. The vet is consulting with a specialist to determine if both eyes need to be removed, or only the right eye. Dolly has had all of her hair shaved off and has dry flakey skin and Comedones (blackheads) from her belly down. She has hind end atrophy and stands holding her elbows out. The vet suspects Dolly has a collapsing Trachea, and she can't hear or has very limited hearing. She has severe dental disease that will involve extractions. We rescued Dolly from the shelter where she was as an unclaimed stray. Through all of this Dolly is still sweet natured, and calm. She's resting comfortably at her forever foster home where she is loved and spoiled, while at the same time getting the medical care she so desperately is in need of getting.
You can sponsor Dolly with a onetime donation or a monthly donation to help with the cost of her ongoing care or the collective care of all of our Forever Foster and Hospice dogs by following this link. Donate - CrisisDogsNC
