Sweet Dakota is a nine-year-old, Golden Retriever and Australian Shepherd mix, weighing sixty-four pounds. Dakota is good with dogs and good with mature kids over ten years old. Dakota is a sweet girl dumped at the shelter by her owner for personal reasons, and now Dakota needs out to be safe. Dakota is fully vetted, healthy, and does have some arthritis that is addressed with Gabapentin. Dakota would be a great dog for a senior household looking for a loyal companion. Dakota is good on a leash, but a slow walker who does well on short easy walks only. Dakota is spayed and heartworm negative. This girl deserves to be someone's priority in her senior years! Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
