Nugget age 4 weighs about 8 pounds & Chewy age 5 weighs about 11
Bonded Pair fee $700
A pair that stays together since they rely on each other, Chewy and Nugget need someone at home to cuddle and to diminish their anxiety (they are not destructive, however). Their foster writes, "Chewy and Nugget are very easy in almost everything but anxiety can be an issue. When anxious, Chewy gets into negative behaviors such as excessive licking. They need a calm environment and an adopter who can help prevent anxiety cycles from occurring. Their foster writes, " Chewy is very intelligent and likes to be spoken to and have things explained to him. He is 100% committed to your lap and wants to sleep with you. He loves veggies and chicken and is a must with dry food. He is a huge snuggler and very easy-going. He enjoys his walks and especially loves running and playing in his fenced yard. He learns new tasks very easily and is well-mannered for grooming. If he could have a window or door to look out of when inside, he would enjoy it as well. " Chewy is does well with housetraining but needs to taken out regularly and can be left out of a crate when you are gone; Nugget would need a belly band since he is nearly housetrained. They don't like crating but if necessary for only a brief time they must be crated together. "Nugget loves to be on your lap or sleep on your chest. He needs quick soothing to keep him from getting too anxious and spiraling. He loves to eat and doesn't mind wearing a belly band, if needed, for long stretches and when it rains since he hates wet grass. Nugget likes mental challenges like dog puzzles. " Chewy and Nugget could use some leash training since they lunge in excitement when they see another dog on walks. They also need a calm house with a routine. "Chaos and too much people activity would create anxiety for them," their foster says, "and they are too much underfoot and could be easily stepped on. These little dogs stay attached to you and each other." A perfect little pair for little dog lovers who are calm and patient.
