I've found my furever family!

We're happy to tell you that Carmen has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Carmen is a three-year-old Boxer, Shephard mix. Carmen weighs about sixty-five pounds; and was skin and bones when we rescued her. This fluffy good-natured girl is good with another dog in the family her size that's relatively playful, and kids who understand how to be around large dogs.

This beautiful dog also loves to be near people and follows her foster around the house, she just wants affection. Carmen enjoys running and playing in a fenced yard, loves to eat, and sleeps through the night. She does not have a mean bone in her body. Carmen is very calm and loves attention. Carmen is quiet and has good house manners, she knows how to use a doggie door, and is house trained. Her foster writes: "My grandsons love her. Carmen really is a perfect dog".  Carmen is afraid of loud sounds, so a quiet residential area preferred.

Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
