Benji is 3 years old and 20.5 lbs
Benji is the cutest little man. With those eyebrows and moustache, he always turns heads! He is a gentleman in his foster home and has great house manners, is 100% potty-trained and does well if left alone without a crate. Like a typical terrier, he loves to follow his nose and explore his yard, so he would love to find a forever home with a secure yard or fenced in area where he can get in all the sniffs! He is great with all people, including kids, but he does want you to know that he's the big man in town and will happily "protect" you even if you are bigger and taller than he is. Too cute! For the most part though, Benji is a simple guy who is low energy, great on a leash, loves walks, loves his squeaky toys and enjoys most of his day lounging with his person/people. He definitely wouldn't complain if he got to sleep right next to you at night too! He would rather sniff the yard than play with other dogs and always prefers the love of his family over anything else (well maybe except treats!)
If you are looking for a ride-or-die best friend, this handsome man is the one for you!

Benji has an umbilical hernia that doesn't seem to bother him at all. He did have a skin condition; hot spots and dry skin, but using an oatmeal shampoo for regular baths seems to help! Adding omega oils (sardines, or salmon in water) once a week also helps keep him healthy.
