Archie is a ten-year-old, eight-pound, Pomeranian mix. Archie is a very special guy, he's deaf, blind in one eye, and has stage two kidney disease. Archie is cheerful, loves to cuddle up on a warm bed, or your lap and enjoy his surroundings and human company. He loves to nest and does a great impression of a doggy donut! This senior gentleman is a quiet dog and would do best in a laid back, quieter home, so no younger kids. He is very easy going and has a great disposition. He likes to cuddle up to the other dogs in the house and gets along with the resident cat.  He does like to go outside and prance around the yard, exploring and sniffing. Archie is mostly potty trained but does need to go outside a bit more often, and due to his kidney disease can sometimes have an accident inside. He will use a potty pad if inside. The frequency of this is less with his medication, he does wear a belly band at night. Archie's foster describes him as a dream dog. Archie would be perfect in a mature household! Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls, no emails. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed assessments are based on visual appearances.
