Ace is a five-year-old, twenty-one pound, Chihuahua and Miniature Pincher Mix, weighing twenty-one pounds. Ace is good with mature kids ten and over, although he would prefer to be your one and only. We have not tested him with cats. He is well mannered, housetrained and crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He loves playing fetch. Ace doesn’t like competition for his person’s attention so even though he gets along with other dogs in dog parks and on walks we recommend him as your one and only to avoid scuffles over your attention. Ace was placed at Animal Protective Services because his owner said he bit him. There was no physical evidence of this whatsoever, so we have our doubts. He was quarantined at the Animal Protective Services for ten days and they saw no evidence of aggressions, nipping or biting. In fact, they say “Ace was a love the whole time.” He will be a great companion for adults or mature person or a mature couple. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls, no emails. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed assessments are based on visual appearances.
