Bertie is a senior gal who is slowing down with age and is lovingly supported through our Hospice and Haven program. She is safe and settled in her foster home, where her foster mom has generously committed to caring for her with the continued support of our rescue. This allows Bertie to spend the rest of her days surrounded by the stability, comfort, and love she deserves.
Bertie is a 16 year old, 9 pound Chihuahua mix who enjoys a calm, quiet life. She is happiest in a peaceful environment and appreciates gentle companionship on her own terms. Bertie takes a little time to warm up and does not enjoy being picked up, but once trust is built, she offers steady affection and quiet devotion.
She enjoys spending time outside at her own pace and likes having a small space to explore, but most of all, Bertie loves being cozy. Snuggled on the couch or tucked into a pile of soft blankets is where she is most content. She has excellent house manners and can be left uncrated when her people are away.
Bertie is exactly where she needs to be, safe, loved, and cared for as she enjoys her golden years.
