Sunflower has a heart of gold! She is very shy at first, but a little time, patience, and love will make her blossom... well, like a sunflower! She may have had a rough start in life, but this sweet girl is worth the extra time and care because she is all about love and affection at the end of the day. When she is settled in, she loves to cuddle with her foster family on the couch and while she is more submissive, she enjoys playing with other dogs in the yard. She is very low energy indoors, but outside she comes alive and loves running around the yard. She would do best in a home with a doggie sibling who can help her confidence. She is loves walks and is great on a leash, although she can get spooked sometimes, but a nice calm walk is always on her "to-do" list. She loves all humans and would be so happy to find a home either with a single person, a couple, or family. She is great with kids because of her easy-going personality.
Sunflower has wonderful house manners and never chews on anything except her bones and toys. She barely barks too! She doesn't like crates but is perfectly fine to stay home alone for periods of time while her humans are out of the house. This sweetheart will need a patient family who is willing to go a little slow with her, but we promise once she is settle in, she will show you just how much love she has to give!
