We do not know the full extent of the trauma this boy endured before coming into rescue, but it has left lasting emotional scars that affect how he responds to the world around him. He is especially reactive toward men and becomes easily overwhelmed by unfamiliar situations.
After several foster placements, it became clear that continued transitions were causing more harm than healing. Stability—not change—was what he needed most.
He is now content in a forever foster home with a patient and experienced foster mom who understands his triggers and respects his boundaries. When allowed to move at his own pace and interact on his own terms, he can be a very sweet boy. His foster mom provides the structure, predictability, and calm environment he needs to feel safe.
To protect the progress he has made and to avoid further stress or regression, he has been placed into our Hospice & Haven program. Here, his emotional well-being comes first. He is receiving the consistent care, understanding, and love he deserves—without the pressure of adoption or further disruption.
