Maverick is about 2 years old and 50 lbs.
Maverick is a gorgeous boy with a playful spirit! He loves nothing more than to play and be around his humans. He will need a family who will be patient and understanding with him as he gets to know them. Sometimes loud or big movements can be scary for him. He would do best with kids who are a little older considering his size. He is great with other dogs, but prefers to take his meals separately, just in case anyone else tries to sneak a bite. He would happily play in the yard with his doggie buddies and then curl up for a nice afternoon nap. He does love chasing squirrels, so he would do best in a confined/fenced yard where he can safely play. He has some fear of cars and is working to overcome it, but would love to find a family who can teach him that they aren't so scary! He is very sweet and patient and is so smart! He is learning different commands and will gladly show off his "sitting" skills! He also knows "Stay" and "Let's Eat" and is learning "Lay Down", "Drop It", "Back Up", and "Spin". He loves challenging his brain and playing with mental enrichment toys like lick mats, snuffle mats, puzzles and interactive treat dispensers. He would love to find a family/person who is home a lot because he always wants to be around his people! Will that be you?
**Maverick will need to be monitored for Tricuspid valve dysplasia (TVD) and Mitral valve dysplasia with minimal regurgitation. He does not require medication only monitoring**
