Bart is a two-year-old, ten-pound, French Bulldog. He is good with other dogs, good with cats, and good with mature kids ten and over. A sweet submissive, young French Bulldog, Bart has Glaucoma in his left eye which we have scheduled to remove. Other than this, he is healthy and cheerful, and acts like a puppy. He is nearly housetrained. His foster writes:” Bart loves all people. Doesn’t really have any manners yet. He jumps and gently chews on your hands and gives constant kisses. He is a lovely little dog who is so tiny since he is underweight, but he loves to eat. Bart just wants to play and if you play with him, he loves you. Bart has some challenges because he was so severely neglected. He requires attention and getting a lot of playtime, exercise, and mental stimulation each day, or he will chew things and could possibly take his energy out with bad behavior. Bart will require a patient adopter who will understands he acts like a true puppy still and will start training and teaching him good behavior. Bart gets excited by other dogs, and this causes some excessive barking and humping but that should resolve itself after we neuter him. Bart is not an apartment dog at this point. His ideal home would be someone with dog training experience or who is committed to hiring a trainer, and who has the patience and love for a guy who deserves both. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org.
