Honey is an eight-year-old, seventeen-pound, Shih Tzu. Honey is good with other dogs, good with mature kids ten and over, and we have not tested her with cats. A wiggly gal who loves to be close to her people or person. Honey enjoys walks, is getting used to walking on a leash, and she will often stop during a walk and need a reassuring cuddle! Honey is healthy, charming, housetrained, can be left at home without crating but is also happy in a cozy crate if you're away. Her foster writes: “A needy little lady, loves to snuggle, prefers women, not aggressive at all. She’s not bitten or growled, loves food! Perfect little girl!” If you have a fenced yard, it must be very secure, and she must be supervised outside at all times since she will try to escape. A fenced yard is not necessary, she also likes to go out on walks. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls, no emails. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed assessments are based on visual appearances.
