Rocky

Rocky is a two-year-old, forty-pound, American Staffordshire Terrier and bulldog mix. He is good with other dogs, good with mature kids ten and older, and he doesn't like cats. Rocky was abused by his owner and then a neighbor stepped in to rescue him. The neighbor has reached out to us since his large dog does not like Rocky, although his smaller dog considers Rocky a friend. This smiley boy is a survivor. Rocky is vastly underweight, initially timid, but wants to be close to people. He is currently living outside until a foster or adopter comes forward to save him. He is neutered and we will fully vet him. The local shelter says they have no room and said they will put him down if he's brought to the shelter. Rocky will be taken to the shelter on May 13th if we can't rescue him before this date. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls, no emails. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed assessments are based on visual appearances.
