Johnny Cash is a six-year-old, ninety-one-pound, German Shepherd and Husky mix. Johnny Cash is good with other dogs, and good with older mature kids. “In a dog test at the shelter Johnny Cash was tolerant and mostly avoidant. Did well with parallel walking and would likely enjoy a gentle sniffing partner.” Johnny Cash was surrendered because his owner was moving away from a domestic situation to a place where she could not have a dog. Johnny Cash is very loving to his people, for the first eight months of his life Johhny Cash was in a home where he was left in a crate and physically abused. It was at this time his most recent owner rescued Johnny Cash. Because of this Johnny Cash is very sensitive to confinement and cannot be crated. He is protective of his family and requires a slow introduction to strangers. Johnny Cash is housetrained, and neutered. It would be best if Johnny Cash is an only dog since he is scared of dominant dogs. Johnny Cash needs leash training and would need a fenced yard to romp in. We offer a free training class by zoom and can recommend a good trainer in the Raleigh area. We reply to completed applications only, not to calls, not to emails, not to instant or private Facebook messages. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
