Darwin is 5 yeas old and is a foxhound/coonhound mix. who weighs about 50 pounds.
Darwin is a gentle dog who warms up easily to new people. He can be a little nervous at first and doesn't like loud sounds or abrupt movements he is not familiar with. Once he is comfortable, he comes out of his shell and has the sweetest personality! He likes to be around anyone who shows him love, affection and that he can trust them. Darwin loves to play, relax, eat, and follow his nose, so a fenced yard is a must. He not into the bar or live music scene, and would rather be your adventure buddy and hit the trails for a good long hike (full of sniffing of course)! He would be the best fit in a calm, routine, mature home. He loves his crate which is his "safe space". He is well behaved in the house and can be left to free roam, but prefers a spot that is his like his crate to retreat to if needed. He is good with other dogs we actually recommend him to have a doggie companion. Darwin is housetrained and a goofy loving dog. He is healthy and fully vetted, he is Heartworm positive, and we are covering his treatment and cost, so he is ready to go to his forever home! Please be aware, Hounds require daily exercise and mental stimulation.
